Sheffield's 'Pounds Park' area
Entered by Marketing Sheffield
Sheffield is the second greenest city in the world by percentage greenspace within its boundary, at a whopping 61%. With world-cup level downhill mountain biking trails and world-class boulder ‘problems’ on gritstone edges and indoor climbing walls (all within the city limits) - not to mention the walking and running in the Peak District and over 800 parks and managed greenspaces, and five rivers – Sheffield is rightly nicknamed 'The Outdoor City'.
