Hakkab Looma 2050: Collective Dreaming 2050

Estonia stood on the precipice of despair. For five years, a relentless tempest battered its spirit: COVID-19 lockdowns confined lives, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine ignited fears of “Are we next?”, and economic crises with soaring taxes drained wallets and hope. Young people, particularly, lost their fire, teenagers shrugged: “Why study? War looms.” National identity wavered – communities drifted apart, and the art of dreaming faded in crisis-weary hearts.

Enter Hakkab Looma, born from the bold visionaries of Let’s Do It World Cleanup. If you can rally the globe to clear rubbish, why not unite a nation to dream? Science reveals dreaming sparks serotonin, blurring the line between imagination and reality, lifting spirits. The challenge was colossal: to restore existential hope, especially for youth, and forge a stronger Estonian identity. This was no superficial fix; it was about igniting belief in 2050. No nation had attempted a countrywide dreaming initiative. Could the team rally every county, school, and church to dream together?
