Citymarketing Tilburg

Entered by Citymarketing Tilburg

Tilburg, the seventh largest city in the Netherlands with over 230,000 inhabitants, is a lively city with a strong DNA. However, for many people outside the city, Tilburg often remained non-descript and not immediately appealing. The city's identity was considered neutral, even though there were not always good reasons for this. In addition, Tilburg residents were often not proud of their city, and didn't feel the urge to ‘recommend’ it.

How is it possible that a city with a rich history in textiles, a varied cultural offering, a wide range of educational opportunities, including a highly regarded university, always looking for innovation and transformation, and with large social networks, still needs to work on its image? And why aren't residents proud?
