Scotland: Building a university coalition to unite for growth

Entered by Brand Scotland

Scotland's university sector faced an unprecedented challenge in 2025.

More than half of Scottish universities reported operating deficits, with some institutions facing concerns about long-term sustainability. Research also showed that 41% of prospective international students did not recognise Scotland as a distinct study destination from the wider UK.
