Clare Dewhirst founded the City Nation Place initiative in 2015 – City Nation Place has been established as an important global forum, bringing together those involved in understanding and managing nation and city brands around the world to share ideas, collaborate on projects and build an understanding of how a place brand can impact on economic development and investment promotion, tourism development, talent attraction and the wellbeing of citizens. The City Nation Place Global conference takes place in London every November and brings together 200 delegates from over 30 countries. Clare brings over 20 years’ experience of launching and managing successful international events in the marketing, media and other business sectors to the City Nation Place project – including two years as head of international events for The New York Times.

For the last 13 years, Jose has been advising countries in the field of strategy and branding, working directly with heads of state, directors of National Tourism Organisations and Investment Promotion Agencies, spread across five continents.
Moreover, Jose collaborates with the OECD and the World Economic Forum in matters concerning nation branding.
In 2011, his company initiated Bloom Consulting Country Brand Ranking.
Most recently, Bloom Consulting together with Digital Demand – D2© an analytical Software programme, released the Digital Country Index.
The Index measures the appeal of 245 countries in the digital world.
As Assistant Chief Executive (Marketing Group) of the Singapore Tourism Board, Ms Lynette Pang is responsible for building the Singapore destination brand globally and helms the international marketing efforts, driving the consumer-centric and yield-driven approach to marketing.
Her role as ACE Marketing gives her responsibility for brand strategy and global campaigns, corporate and consumer communications, marketing partnerships, digital and content, industry marketing, agency management and marketing capability development.
In her previous role as Executive Director, Arts & Entertainment, Lynette w as responsible for the strategic development of the Arts and Entertainment sectors for tourism contribution.
She also held a concurrent position as Executive Director, F1 &Sports, overseeing the growth of sports tourism. Lynette had also managed the Enrichment (Healthcare and Education) portfolio in STB previously.
Before joining STB, Lynette was General Manager at leading theatre company,Singapore Repertory Theatre and held marketing leadership positions at Yahoo! Asia and at film distributor, Warner Bros. Theatrical.
She started her marketing career at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising where she worked on the Singapore Tourism Board account. Lynette graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Artsin English Literature and Sociology and completed an Honours in EnglishLiterature. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Singapore International Film Festival and Arts House Limited.
Rebecca is a business veteran with over 20 years experience in marketing across diverse sectors such as Diary, Banking, Telecomms, IT, Manufacturing and Tourism.
Rebecca has led business growth, competitive repositioning, brand development and was a pioneer in digital and direct marketing in New Zealand. Having worked across sales, marketing, operations and manufacturing she brings a wealth of knowledge, real-life experiences and a practical perspective to her leadership of New Zealand's country reputation programme, the New Zealand Story.
The New Zealand Story was established in 2013 to expand the reputation of New Zealand beyond natural beauty. Rebecca's team enable the success of businesses by providing them with the skills, tools and knowledge to each share a compelling story that sets them apart on the world stage. In addition, Rebecca works with Govt. agencies to craft and harmonise messages about New Zealand through diplomatic, trade, and public channels.
